Ponte Vedra Beach Residential Design

Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

The story

After a trip to Windsor in Vero Beach, our homeowners knew that the Anglo-Caribbean architecture there resonated with their new lifestyle in Ponte Vedra Beach.

In designing the interiors, it was important to honor the traditional motifs of the Caribbean style, while bringing a transitional aspect to the furnishings, creating a complex mix of elements. The soothing palette of sea glass colors was fitting and appealing, but we wanted to change it up by adding traditionally “happy colors”, like coral and cobalt.  These tones were offset beautifully by the dark hickory floors and bright white trim.  Many natural and authentic materials were used throughout – stone, rich woods, bronze, copper, terra cotta, sisal, seagrass, grasscloth, and rattan – as much for their durability as for the warmth they helped create.

The designer’s responsibilities for this home were extensive, including the selection and specification of all finishes, materials and furnishings.  In addition to some beloved pieces that were integrated into the uniquely unified design, there was significant custom design for cabinetry, lighting, artwork, and furnishings.
