Meet Our Designers
Paula Lewis
Owner, Paula Lewis, grew up in the culturally and artistically rich Washington, D.C. area. Early influences include her artist mother and frequent trips to her grandparents’ custom upholstery and drapery workroom in Georgetown. Before finding her passion for design, she studied music and later French at Indiana University, and was fortunate to be able to live and study in France, where the exposure to great art and architecture was invaluable.
Helena K. Stern
A native of Chicago, Helena earned a B.A. from Drake University, and having returned home following graduation, worked in the field of juvenile justice in the Chicago area. 1979 brought a move to Denver with her husband and young son, where she developed a custom gift and stationery business. Interest in its artistic and graphic aspects, and a love of fine interior detail and materials led to enrollment in the Interior Design Internship (Denver), from which she earned a B.A. in Interior Design in 1988.
Lacey Keen
A native of Denver CO, Lacey spent her formative years in Jacksonville FL. She earned her B.S. degree in Interior Design and minor in Art from Meredith College in Raleigh NC. After graduation she moved to Atlanta, GA, where she practiced design for 11 years. During this time she did residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial design, as well as worked on the manufacturing and sales side. Late 2012 brought her back to her hometown and in 2013 to Del Mar Designs.
Esther Schiegg
An essential member of our team is Business Manager, Esther Schiegg. Combining a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping with tremendous organizational skill, Esther provides the professional interface with both our vendors and customers, while managing the delivery of your unique interior. A native of Switzerland, we celebrated her American citizenship in 1999. Esther is an avid runner and participates in many local charitable events.
